  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave safe bowl

  • 24 walnut halves
  • 3/4 cup chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips

  • Add the chocolate to a microwave safe bowl, then cook on high power for 20 seconds.
  • Stir then cook for another 20 seconds. Repeat this process until the chocolate has melted (this takes about a minute total in my microwave). Alternatively you can melt the chocolate in a pot on the stove set to low heat, stirring constantly until melted.
  • Drop one walnut half into the bowl of melted chocolate, then use a spoon to gently stir to evenly coat it in chocolate.
  • Use two forks to lift the walnut half out of the melted chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip back down into the bowl, then place it on a large plate lined with parchment paper.
  • Place a second walnut half (don’t dip this one in chocolate) directly on top of the chocolate dipped walnut half, then use a spoon to drizzle some melted chocolate on top.
  • Repeat steps 3-5 with the rest of the walnuts.
  • Place the plate of chocolate covered walnuts in the fridge to harden for at least 45 minutes before serving.

  • Store these chocolate walnuts in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
