Refined Sugar-Free Hot Chocolate

This refined sugar-free hot chocolate is sweet and delicious. It's nutrient-rich and kid-approved.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons date paste  (see my date paste recipe for instructions)
  • 1 tablespoon boiling water
  • 1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  • Add the cocoa powder and boiling water to a pot on the stove or a microwave safe bowl and stir until the cocoa powder is dissolved.
  • Add the date paste, vanilla extract and milk and heat until your desired temperature is reached, either on the stovetop or in the microwave.
  • Makes 1 serving of refined sugar-free hot chocolate.
