Ingredients

  • 3 clementine oranges (or any type of orange you prefer)
  • The zest of one of those oranges
  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

Instructions

  • Add the chocolate chips to a pot on the stove set to low heat.
  • Stir constantly until the chocolate has melted and there are no solid lumps remaining, then remove the pot from the heat.
  • Transfer the melted chocolate to a bowl.
  • Use a grater or zester to remove the zest from one of the oranges, then reserve.
  • Peel the oranges and gently pull the segments apart to separate them.
  • Dip an orange segment halfway in melted chocolate, place it on a plate lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, then immediately sprinkle on a pinch of orange zest.
  • Repeat step 6 with the rest of the orange segments.
  • Place the plate of chocolate oranges in the fridge to harden for at least 45 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Store these chocolate dipped oranges in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
