Banana Peanut Butter Chocolate Bites Recipe

These banana peanut butter chocolate bites are easy to make and delicious. These treats are a must try if you love the flavor combination of peanut butter, dark chocolate, and banana.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium-sized ripe bananas
  • 1 cup chopped dark chocolate (or substitute chocolate chips)
  • 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter (with no added sugar or salt)
  • Optional topping: sea salt

Instructions

  • Peel and slice the bananas into rounds (approximately 1/2 inch thick).
  • Add the chopped dark chocolate to a pot on the stove set to low heat.
  • Cook, stirring constantly, until the chocolate has melted, then immediately remove the pot from the heat.
  • Add the peanut butter to the pot of melted chocolate, then mix until incorporated.
  • Transfer the peanut butter and chocolate mixture to a bowl.
  • Add one of the banana slices to the bowl with the peanut butter and chocolate mixture, then gently stir to coat it completely.
  • Use a fork to lift the banana slice out of the bowl and place it on a sheet pan or large plate lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Immediately add a small sprinkle of sea salt on top (optional).
  • Repeat steps 6-8 with the rest of the banana slices.
  • Place the sheet pan or plate in the fridge to allow the chocolate to harden for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

  • Store these banana peanut butter chocolate bites in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze them for up to six months, then thaw in the fridge for at least two hours before serving.
