Peel and slice 3 medium-sized ripe, peeled bananas into rounds (approximately 1/2 inch thick).
Add 1 cup chopped dark chocolate to a pot on the stove set to low heat.
Cook, stirring constantly, until the chocolate has melted, then immediately remove the pot from the heat.
Add 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter to the pot of melted chocolate, then mix until incorporated.
Transfer the peanut butter and chocolate mixture to a bowl.
Add one of the banana slices to the bowl with the peanut butter and chocolate mixture, then gently stir to coat it completely.
Use a fork to lift the banana slice out of the bowl and place it on a sheet pan or large plate lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Immediately add a small sprinkle of sea salt on top (optional).
Repeat steps 6-8 with the rest of the banana slices.
Place the sheet pan or plate in the fridge to allow the chocolate to harden for at least an hour before serving.
