Tahini Frosting Recipe

This chocolate tahini frosting is Paleo-diet-friendly, vegan, and refined sugar free. It’s one of my favorite toppings for cakes and cupcakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tahini
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Add the tahini, maple syrup, cocoa powder, and salt to a mixing bowl.
  • Mix until the cocoa powder is completely dissolved and the frosting thickens to a spreadable consistency.
  • Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before using to frost cakes, cupcakes, cookies, or donuts.

Notes

  • Makes enough for 16 cupcakes or a two-layer 9-inch cake.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to five days.
