This maple vinaigrette dressing has a delicious balance of sweet and savory flavors. It's one of my favorite easy homemade salad dressings.

- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil (or substitute your preferred oil)
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (or substitute your preferred vinegar)
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped garlic (or substitute finely chopped onion)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Add 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 3 tablespoons maple syrup, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper to a container with a tight-fitting lid.
Close the lid tightly, then shake well for about one minute or until the dressing has thickened.
Use immediately or store in the fridge for up to a week.
- I like to serve this dressing with fresh salad greens and a handful of toasted walnuts for some crunch.
- Optional addition: add 1 tablespoon of finely chopped fresh herbs such as tarragon, basil, or parsley.
