Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 medium pear
  • 1 cup unsweetened milk of choice (I used soy milk)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 small pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  • Peel 1 medium banana, break it into pieces, then add it to a blender.
  • Roughly chop 1 medium pear, removing the core, then add it to the blender.
  • Add 1 cup unsweetened milk of choice, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 small pinch of sea salt to the blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Enjoy this smoothie right away or store it in the fridge for up to three days, then stir immediately before serving.

Notes

  • I like to use a very ripe banana in this smoothie (riper bananas are sweeter than less ripe ones).
