Ingredients

  • 2 dates (or substitute 1 ripe banana)
  • 3 tablespoons shelled pumpkin seeds (I used roasted)
  • 1 cup unsweetened milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 small pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  • Remove the pits from 2 dates, then add them to a blender.
  • Add 3 tablespoons shelled pumpkin seeds, 1 cup unsweetened milk of choice, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, and 1 small pinch of sea salt to the blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Enjoy this smoothie right away or store it in the fridge for up to three days, then stir immediately before serving.

Notes

  • If using salted pumpkin seeds, I recommend omitting the sea salt.
