This vegan high protein pudding is rich, delicious, and easy to make. This plant-based chocolate pudding is perfect when youโre craving a decadent dessert but also want to boost your protein intake for the day.
Ingredients and Substitutions
I like to use chopped dark chocolate when making this protein-packed vegan chocolate pudding, but you can substitute vegan chocolate chips or any type of chopped chocolate you prefer.

I used unsweetened hemp protein powder in this pudding, but you can use any type of unsweetened vegan protein powder you like.
I like using bananas that are a bit overripe when making this recipe. If your bananas are not too ripe you may find that the pudding isnโt quite sweet enough, in which case you could add a small amount of maple syrup to sweeten it to taste.
How to Make Vegan High Protein Pudding
Start by adding the chopped dark chocolate to a pot on the stove set to low heat. Cook, stirring constantly until the chocolate has melted, then immediately remove the pot from the heat. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate in the microwave at 20 second increments, stirring in between, until melted.
Next youโll peel the bananas, then break them into pieces before adding them to a blender or food processor. Add the melted chocolate, unsweetened protein powder, cold water, pure vanilla extract, and salt to the blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth.
Transfer that mixture to an 8 inch dish (or similar-sized dish) before placing the pudding in the fridge to chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
Storage
Store the pudding in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
