Ingredients and substitutions

I prefer to use chopped dark chocolate when making these chocolate covered hazelnuts, but you can substitute any type of chocolate you prefer. Or you can use chocolate chips if you’d prefer to skip the step of chopping the chocolate.

I prefer to use toasted hazelnuts when making this recipe because the toasting process enhances both the flavor and texture of the hazelnuts. You can substitute raw hazelnuts if you prefer.

How to make them

Start by adding the chopped dark chocolate to a pot on the stove set to low heat. Cook until the chocolate has melted, stirring constantly, then immediately remove the pot from the heat.
