This creamy watermelon lime smoothie is an easy and delicious breakfast, snack, or treat you can enjoy on the go. Sweet, refreshing watermelon balances the tart, zesty flavor of lime perfectly. Ingredients and Substitutions
Watermelon is one of my favorite fruits, especially when it’s in season. Nothing quenches thirst quite like it and I love its sweet, clean, slightly floral flavor.

Fresh lime wakes this smoothie up with its bright, tart, zingy flavor. I don’t recommend substituting bottled lime juice in this smoothie. Fresh is so much more flavorful.
I like to add a little extra sweetness to this smoothie by including one date. You can omit the date if you prefer a lower sugar version.
You can use any type of unsweetened milk you like in this smoothie. I went with soy milk this time, but I often use oat milk or almond milk as well.
A small pinch of sea salt enhances the other flavors in this smoothie nicely. You can omit it if you prefer.

How to Make a Watermelon Lime Smoothie
Start by removing the pit from the date, then add it to a blender. Next you’ll add the lime juice and zest, watermelon, unsweetened milk of choice, and sea salt to the blender.
Blend until smooth.
Enjoy this smoothie right away or store it in the fridge for up to three days, then stir immediately before serving.
