This berry smoothie without banana is easy to make, delicious, and loaded with nutrients. Give this a try if you’re looking for drinkable breakfast or snacks you can enjoy on the go, like this simple hazelnut smoothie, which is another yummy option.
Ingredients and Substitutions
I like to use a sweet variety of apple such as Honeycrisp or Golden Delicious when making this smoothie. If you prefer a lower sugar option, then go for a tart variety like Granny Smith.

You can use any type of berries you like in this smoothie. Either mixed berries or any single type of berry you like. I opted for a mix of strawberries and blueberries this time. Berries are loaded with antioxidants and nutrients such as vitamin C.
You can use any type of unsweetened milk you like in this smoothie. I went with soy milk this time, but almond milk or oat milk are good options too.

Optional Additions
I sometimes like to add vanilla extract to smoothies to give them more of a milkshake flavor. Feel free to add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla. Or add a pinch of ground spices such as cinnamon or ginger if you like.
How to Make a Berry Smoothie Without Banana
Start by cutting the apple into chunks, then remove the core and add it to a blender. Next you’ll add the berries and milk to the blender.
Blend until smooth.
