This chocolate covered macadamia nuts recipe is quick and easy to make. Give it a try if you love simple homemade treats, like these chocolate raisin clusters, which are another yummy option.
Ingredients and Substitutions
Macadamia nuts add a mild, buttery flavor and a hint of sweetness to these simple treats. If they’re not available at your local grocery stores then they’re easy to find online.

You can use either whole macadamia nuts or macadamia pieces, which are usually more budget-friendly. I went with pieces this time. And either raw or roasted works, but I prefer roasted because they’re a little more flavorful and have a slightly crunchier texture.
I prefer to use dark chocolate when making these treats, but you can substitute any type of chocolate you like.
A small sprinkle of sea salt enhances the other flavors in these treats nicely, but you can omit it if you prefer.
How to Make Chocolate Covered Macadamia Nuts
Add the chopped dark chocolate to a pot on the stove set to low heat. Cook, stirring constantly until melted, then immediately remove from the heat. Add the macadamia nuts to the pot, then stir to coat them completely in melted chocolate.

Scoop out one tablespoon of chocolate coated macadamia nuts, then place on a sheet pan or large plate lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Repeat with the rest of the chocolate macadamia nut mixture (you should end up with about 18 clusters). Add a small sprinkle of sea salt on top of each cluster, if desired.

Place the sheet pan or plate in the fridge for at least 45 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully hardened, before serving.
