Chocolate Raisin Clusters (An Easy and Delicious Treat)

These chocolate raisin clusters are such an easy and delicious treat. I love the combination of sweet, chewy raisins with rich, slightly bitter dark chocolate. Give them a try if you’re looking for easy dessert ideas, like these chocolate covered hazelnuts, which are another yummy option.

Ingredients and Substitutions

You can use any type of raisins you like in these clusters. I went with Sultana raisins this time, but regular black raisins work too.

I prefer to use dark chocolate when making these treats, but you can substitute any type of chocolate you prefer. Just keep in mind that if you substitute a different type of chocolate, it’s best to either melt it on low heat in the microwave or use a double boiler instead of the stovetop method used in this recipe. This is because dark chocolate is less likely to seize or burn compared to other sweeter varieties of chocolate.

I like to add a small pinch of sea salt to these clusters to balance the flavors. You can omit the sea salt if you prefer.

How to Make Chocolate Raisin Clusters

Add the chopped dark chocolate to a pot on the stove set to low heat. Cook, stirring constantly until the chocolate has melted, then immediately remove the pot from the heat.

Scoop out 1 heaping teaspoon of the chocolate raisin mixture, then add it to a large plate or sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Add a small sprinkle of sea salt on top, if desired. Repeat with the rest of the chocolate raisin mixture.
