Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie Recipe (Easy and Delicious)

Last Updated: April 22, 2026

This peanut butter cup smoothie recipe is one of my all-time favorites. It has such a satisfying balance of sweet and salty flavors. Give it a try if you’re looking for nutritious drinks that taste like a total treat, like this date-sweetened salted caramel smoothie, which is another delicious option.

Ingredients and Substitutions

I like to use creamy natural peanut butter when making this smoothie. The only ingredient listed on the jar should be roasted peanuts.

Cocoa powder gives this peanut butter smoothie its delicious chocolate flavor. Raw cacao powder works too.

This smoothie is sweetened with dates. I usually use Medjool dates because they’re particularly sweet and moist, but any type of date works.

Sea salt balances the sweetness of this smoothie nicely. The recipe calls for 1/4 teaspoon, which may seem like a lot, but it honestly makes it taste like a candy bar and really just isn’t the same without it.

You can use any type of unsweetened milk you like in this smoothie. I used soy milk this time.

How to Make a Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie
