How to Make Dark Chocolate Covered Cashews

These dark chocolate covered cashews are an easy and delicious treat. The earthy, slightly bitter flavor of dark chocolate complements the decadent texture of toasted cashews in these tasty confections. They also make great homemade gifts for any occasion.

Ingredients and substitutions

I like to use roasted, unsalted cashews when making these treats. The roasting process enhances both the texture and flavor of the cashews. You can substitute raw cashews or salted cashews if you prefer. If using salted cashews, omit the optional sea salt topping, otherwise the end result will be too salty.

I prefer to use chopped dark chocolate when making these treats, but you can substitute any type of chocolate you prefer. If you’d rather skip the step of chopping the chocolate, you can substitute chocolate chips.

  1. Green and Black’s has a dark chocolate bar with 85% cacao solids that I like. Any brand that has 75% cacao solids or higher and no milk products listed in the ingredients should be pretty low in sugar. Hope that helps!
