Paleo recipes that are grain free, dairy free, and refined sugar free. These recipes are made using nutritious, minimally processed ingredients similar to those that were eaten by our ancestors back in the Paleolithic era.

Staples of this diet include lean meats, eggs, fish, seafood, seeds, nuts, vegetables and fruit. Potatoes are avoided but sweet potatoes are included, as well as some nutritious desserts sweetened with honey, date paste, or maple syrup.

This vegan chocolate avocado pudding is one of my favourite nutritious desserts these days. I’ve come across several recipes for healthy chocolate pudding made with avocado lately, but what I love about this particular recipe is that it’s refined sugar free and calls for date paste as a natural alternative sweetener.
